Adult Protective Services responds to the abuse, neglect, or exploitation of Richland County's elderly citizens.

If you or a loved one is 60 years of age or older and living in an unsafe situation, or if you suspect an elderly neighbor may be unsafe, call the Adult Protective Referral Line: 419-774-5400 Option 6.

You may also use the new Ohio Department of Job & Family Services 24 hour online portal starting July 1, 2020 to report elder abuse https://aps.jfs.ohio.gov/

Alzheimer’s Association’s Caregiver Survey 

Please help Richland County Adult Protective Services support the Alzheimer’s Association by completing a survey that will provide information to assist the local Alzheimer’s Association in meeting the needs of individuals with alzheimer's and dementia and their caregivers

As a service to the community, professionals from Richland County Adult Protective Services are available to speak and present information to local organizations and community partners regarding abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Presentations can be designed to fit your needs and may include opportunities for activities and questions.
