About PRC

PRC helps families residing in Richland County overcome immediate employment-related barriers. The goal is to help families achieve or maintain self-sufficiency. 


Who Qualifies?

To be considered for PRC services:

    • Program applicants must be at least 18 years old, have at least one dependent minor child residing in the home, and meet income requirements.
    • The individual applying for assistance must be gainfully employed, have an employment offer, or be meeting Ohio Works First (OWF) work requirements.

What may be provided?

Job-related:

  • Uniforms, tools, and other hardware needed for individuals to maintain employment

Educational:

  • Uniforms, books, equipment, and licensure costs related to employment

What Do You Need to Apply for PRC Benefits?

    • Complete Application
    • Submit copies of four consecutive paystubs (if paid weekly) or two consecutive pay stubs (if paid bi-weekly)
    • Copies of Social Security cards for all members of the household
    • A 3-day eviction notice for rent assistance
    • A foreclosure letter for mortgage assistance
    • A utility disconnect notice for assistance with utilities
    • A copy of a valid driver's license, proof of current car insurance, and proof of current vehicle registration if requesting assistance with car repairs
