About NET

Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) is a statewide program administered by Richland County Job & Family Services for Medicaid eligible customers. NET provides transportation to and from appointments with Medicaid providers.

Who Qualifies?

NET services may be provided to:

  • Customers eligible for and in receipt of a Medicaid insurance card 
  • Residents of Richland County
  • Users of this service must be able to transfer from a wheelchair to a vehicle independently

What is included?

Transportation authorization may be in the form of bus tickets, gas vouchers, or taxi services provided by local transportation vendors.

When should transportation requests be submitted?

Requests for NET services must be received at least 10 working days before the scheduled medical appointment.
